My recent stay at Hafan Deg Bed & Breakfast in Mold was both rejuvenating and surprisingly delightful. Housed in the picturesque village of Maeshafn, the bed and breakfast offers a serene retreat with a spacious slate-floored dining hall adorned with a high beamed ceiling, creating a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. Breakfast here was an experience worth noting. The continental spread included a variety of good-quality foods that catered to different tastes, ensuring satisfaction for all appetites. As a history professor, I appreciate the importance of good food in nurturing the mind. The thoughtfully curated breakfast ingredients, fresh fruit, and exquisite croissants provided a perfect start to a day of exploring the surrounding Clwydian Range's historical walks. The warm hospitality of our hosts, Sandrine and Dominic, created an inviting atmosphere. They were attentive yet not intrusive, enhancing the overall experience. While the bathroom featured a touch of opulence with its immaculate design and plush amenities, it was the intimate dining area that forged a special connection to the region's charm. I can foresee Hafan Deg becoming a repeat destination for those seeking a gourmet getaway amidst North Wales’ scenic allure.
